| Washington Excels, Cincinnati Blows Out San Antonio | The Cincinnati Snaps knocked off the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 13-3, at The Clone Army. Aaron Washington, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Cincinnati won. The left fielder went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Cincinnati reliever Ismael Mejia was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Eric Markle took the loss. The Snaps bumped their record to 22-20 with this latest triumph.
The Snaps got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Steve Lanier. For the game, Lanier was 1-2. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 7th hit of the season gave Cincinnati a 4-3 lead.
Washington told a Cincinnati Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
