| Egan Delivers Walk-Off Win for Hawks | The Boise Hawks defeated the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 6-5, at Basque Block Field. Boise third baseman Cletus Roop was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Boise reliever Ray Toye picked up the win, upping his record to 1-4. Jose Negron was saddled with the loss. Even with the win, the Hawks have a dismal 14-29 record.
Ryan Egan was the walk-off hero for Boise. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hawks catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Roop. "And not try to do too much."
