| Victory Over Ducks Takes Rock River to 27-14 | The Rock River Rats defeated the Long Island Ducks, 7-3, in Roy Halladay League action at The Rat Hole, with Rock River pitcher Alberto Cayetano named player of the game. Cayetano, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. The Rats bumped their record to 27-14 with this latest triumph.
Gilberto Perez, who leads the RHL in triples with 3, aided the Rock River cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Cayetano told the Rock River Times.
