| Tune-Ups Lose to Hawks in Walk Off | Boise beat Youngstown on the strength of starter Tommy Montgomery's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Even with the win, the Hawks have a dismal 13-28 record.
Boise won the game in the bottom of the 15th inning. With no outs and Chris Long on the mound for Youngstown, third baseman Cletus Roop hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Hawks fans to their feet.
"We take it day by day here," said Roop, "and today was a good one for us."
