| Hawks Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Frisco | Boise withstood an impressive performance by Frisco center fielder Matt Davidson to defeat the Rams, 7-4, at Outlander Park. Davidson slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Timmo Brown earned the win for Boise. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-2. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Brad Harr.
It could have been a different outcome for Boise, had it not been for Mario Montano, the 26-year old shortstop . Montano contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Boise up, 2-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Montano told the Boise Herald.
Even with the win, the Hawks have a dismal 12-28 record.
