| Monarchs Win in Extras | The Marysville Monarchs and Cape Verde Vesuvius put on quite a show at Conduit Caverns.
The Marysville Monarchs topped the Cape Verde Vesuvius by the score of 4-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Brad Davis. Davis was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for the Monarchs on the day. The win was Brian Reddin's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Hitoshi Miyahira took the loss for Cape Verde.
Davis had a game-changing single in the top of the tenth. On a 1-0 curveball from Hitoshi Miyahira, he banged a 2-run single to right, giving the Monarchs a 4-2 lead. It was the 23rd hit of the year for Davis.
