| Hicks goes 3-for-3 as Bullets Squeeze Past Buzzard's Bay | Biloxi second baseman Dusty Hicks was instrumental in his team's 4-3 win over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. Hicks, who is tied for 9th in the CLL in home runs with 7, went 3-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bullets. Juan López picked up the save, his 1st. The 'W' lifts Biloxi's record to 19-18.
Hicks had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Javier Vargas, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Bullets a 4-3 lead. It was the 28th hit of the year for Hicks.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Biloxi manager Jorge Matos.
