| Vesuvius Turn Back Marysville, 4-2 | A 3-RBI performance from left fielder Gary Corbett, who is tied for 7th in the CLL with a .538 slugging percentage, led the Cape Verde Vesuvius to a 4-2 win over the Marysville Monarchs. Tommy Pucher got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 5.1 innings. Francisco Morales closed the game out for Cape Verde, earning his 14th save.
The Vesuvius got a big at-bat from second baseman Juan Estevez. For the game, Estevez was 1 for 3. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Cape Verde a 1-0 lead.
