Earthquakes Subdue Cabo San Lucas, 6-4

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Steve John, the San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 6-4. John went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Earthquakes. Pang Yip closed the door for San Francisco, picking up his 2nd save of the year. San Francisco has now won 3 in a row.

John had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Ryan Goldberg, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Earthquakes a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for John.

John told the San Francisco Bulletin: "I was born for the big stage."
