| Rams Stymie Boise, Take 2-1 Win | Frisco and Boise duked it out at Outlander Park and the Rams came out victorious.
Boise wasted a solid 6.2-inning effort from starting pitcher Yoshiyuki Matsuda, losing to Frisco, 2-1, at Outlander Park. Jeff Van Wormer closed the door for Frisco, picking up his 8th save of the year.
The Rams got a big at-bat from first baseman Brian Clark. For the game, Clark was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 51st hit of the season gave Frisco a 2-1 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Rams manager Will Bartlett, "I like our chances."
The Rams bumped their record to 21-18 with this latest triumph.
