Black Bears Need Extras to Top Ducks

The Fraser Valley Black Bears scored a 11-10 win versus the Long Island Ducks at Long Island Stadium. Fraser Valley catcher Stephen Patty nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Black Bears bumped their record to 20-15 with this latest triumph.

Patty had a game-changing double in the top of the 13th. On a 1-1 curveball from Eric Anderson, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Black Bears a 11-10 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Patty.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Fraser Valley skipper Tom Klein.
