Rios Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Cape Verde in Walk-Off Win
With designated hitter Danny Frampton leading the charge, the Cape Verde Vesuvius defeated the Pacifica Shamrocks, 10-8, at Conduit Caverns. Frampton, who is tied for 3rd in the CLL in home runs with 9, went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs. Cape Verde reliever Hitoshi Miyahira picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Royce Leveque was saddled with the loss. Cape Verde is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Cape Verde won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Royce Leveque on the mound for Pacifica, shortstop Mario Rios hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Vesuvius fans to their feet.

"Losing is easy," said Rios. "Winning is hard."
