| Marti goes 3-for-4 as Beetlecats Squeeze Past Bristol | The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Bristol Robins, 6-5, at Ashton Gate today. Leading the charge for Buzzard's Bay was center fielder Mike Marti. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Justin Keling got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. Kenny Moran earned the save, his 3rd.
Marti had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 fastball from Arturo Mercado, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Beetlecats a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Marti.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Marti.
The Robins fall to 12-20 and continue their lackluster start to the 2038 season.
