| Victory Pushes Bulldogs Record to 18-15 | The Spokane Bulldogs defeated the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 6-3, at The Stetson Bowl today. Leading the charge for Spokane was left fielder Keith Harkness. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Chris Phillips got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4 innings. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 18-15 with this latest triumph.
The Bulldogs got a big at-bat from catcher Bobby Bell. For the game, Bell went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 29th hit of the season gave Spokane a 4-3 lead.
Harkness told a Spokane Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
