The Bradenton Marauders trumped the Cincinnati Snaps, 4-3, at The Field at Bradenton. Bradenton second baseman Eichiro Takahashi was named player of the game for his performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Mario Michaca recorded his 5th save for Bradenton. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Marauders hope to make a postseason run.

Takahashi had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch forkball from Johnny Gonzalez, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Marauders a 4-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Takahashi.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Takahashi said.
