| Attwood Slugs Bulldogs to 8-6 Win | Spokane first baseman A.J. Attwood was a significant contributor in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Fraser Valley Black Bears. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for Spokane. Spokane reliever Tomas Romirez got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Wei-sng Mak was tagged with the loss. Ramon Romandia was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.
Attwood had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Wei-sng Mak, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Bulldogs a 8-6 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Attwood.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Attwood said.
With the win, Spokane improves its record to 17-15.
