| Hawks Rally For Late Win Over Black Bears | In a tight game between the Boise Hawks and the Fraser Valley Black Bears, pitcher Jan Woodbury was terrific on the mound. The Boise right-hander was named the player of the game in Boise's 2-1 win. Picking up the save was Ray Toye, his 5th. The Hawks are off to a tough start, getting just their 8th win in 29 games.
Ryan Egan made it 2-1, Boise, in the top of the eighth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Hawks win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Egan said.
