| Shamrocks Jolt Wolverines with Late Rally | The Shamrocks had to overcome a good performance from Wichita pitcher David Diaz to claim a 7-5 win at McCormick Field. Diaz went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Pacifica reliever Dario Reyes picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-0. Joel Stapleton was collared with the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Shamrocks have raced to a strong start this season.
The Shamrocks were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Oscar Ortega turned a 1-2 cutter from Joel Stapleton into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Pacifica a thrilling 7-5 win.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Pacifica manager Pete Barrett.
