| Tune-Ups Need Extra Frames to Get Past Black Bears | The home team gave the Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
Youngstown beat Fraser Valley at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Jonathan Salas, who earned player of the game honors. Youngstown reliever Keisaburo Kanada picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Brian Gunter was collared with the loss.
The Tune-Ups got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Ivan Mena. For the game, Mena was 1 for 1. In the bottom of the 13th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 4th hit of the season gave Youngstown a 3-2 lead.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Salas.
With the loss, Fraser Valley drops to 15-11.
