| Rockhounds Lose to Grays, 5-2 | The Georgia Grays got a stellar performance from pitcher Yukihiro Nakamoto, who handcuffed the Midland offense en route to a 5-2 win at The Death Star. Georgia reliever Yukihiro Nakamoto got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Ruben Fernandez was tagged with the loss. Joe Kearns earned the save for Georgia, his 1st of the year.
Tadataka Yoshino, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, chipped in for Georgia with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Georgia manager Ánibal Machado.
The Grays, now 3-1, have been playing some good baseball.
