| Victory Pushes Rams Record to 18-9 | The Frisco Rams knocked off the Bradenton Marauders, 5-1, at Outlander Park. Bill Sheppard, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Frisco won. The right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Frisco reliever Jesus Martinez was the winner. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Tom Cluff. The Marauders fall to 12-15 and continue their uneven start to the 2038 season.
Sheppard contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Frisco in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sheppard took a curveball from Tom Cluff and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Rams to leap in front, 2-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sheppard told the Frisco Gazette.
