| Mustang Win in Extras | Biloxi got a terrific performance from pitcher Eddie Lara, but it wasn't enough to beat the Carson City Mustang. Carson City won the The Sand Dune contest, 5-4. Lara was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. The Mustang, now 17-9, have been red hot.
The Mustang got a big at-bat from designated hitter Gregório Gosende. For the game, Gosende was 1 for 5 with a home run. In the top of the tenth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Carson City a 5-4 lead.
"We found a way to get it done," Gosende said.
