| Tight Tilt Goes to Shamrocks, 2-1 | Wichita got a terrific performance from pitcher Victor Benavirez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Pacifica Shamrocks. Pacifica won the McCormick Field contest, 2-1. Benavirez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. Jorge Rivera earned the save for Pacifica, his 1st. The Wolverines fall to 11-13 and continue their wobbly start to the 2038 season.
The Shamrocks used some clutch hitting to beat the Wolverines, a good example being the at-bat of Troy McKimm in the bottom of the first. With two down, McKimm gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he hit a 2-run double.
"We found a way to get it done," McKimm said.
