| Snaps Lose, 3-1, at The Corn Crib | Fans who gathered at The Corn Crib saw a good contest between the DeKalb Cornhuskers and Cincinnati Snaps.
In a low-scoring game between the DeKalb Cornhuskers and the Cincinnati Snaps, pitcher Cedric Gold was masterful on the mound. The DeKalb right-hander was named the player of the game in DeKalb's 3-1 win. Gold, now 1-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing 1 earned run.
Early in the game, second baseman Scott Tuff had a 2-run double for DeKalb. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Cornhuskers on top, 3-1.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Gold said.
The loss drops Cincinnati to 12-10.
