| Snaps Lose, 4-1, at The Corn Crib | The DeKalb Cornhuskers got a stellar performance from pitcher Ted Mengel, who handcuffed the Cincinnati offense en route to a 4-1 win at The Corn Crib. Ray Burns finished the game for DeKalb and earned his 8th save. DeKalb has a mark of 12-11 after the win.
The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from right fielder Ramón Márquez. For the game, Márquez was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave DeKalb a 2-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Márquez told the DeKalb Herald.
