| Beetlecats Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Silicon Valley | The 2038 season is getting ugly for Silicon Valley.
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats topped the Silicon Valley Hackers, 7-3, in Cory Lidle League action at Bloomfield Road. The player of the game was Buzzard's Bay pitcher Andrew Welborn. Welborn got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. Welborn allowed 1 earned run.
The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from center fielder Mike Marti. For the game, Marti was 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 1-0 lead.
Welborn attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
