Rats Continue Hot Start to Season With Win

The Rock River Rats got a stellar performance from pitcher Kazue Fujita, who handcuffed the San Antonio offense en route to a 5-2 win at The Rat Hole. In 7.2 innings, Fujita surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. The Rats, now 15-7, have been playing some good baseball.

Had Nick Dye not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Dye hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 5-2, in favor of the Rats.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Fujita told the Rock River Times.
