| Beehive Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Fraser Valley | The Madison Beehive dealt the Fraser Valley Black Bears a 7-5 loss at The Hive. Edwin Alvarez was the star on offense. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Mike Weschler earned the win to go to 2-3. He allowed 5 earned runs on 9 hits, with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. Madison is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 8th in 20 games.
Jay Cyr had a big 2-run single for the Beehive in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Madison trailing 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Angel Ponce and stroked the single to left. It was his 10th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Beehive ahead, 5-4.
Cyr told a Madison Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
