| Red Bulls Bang Out 7-6 Win Versus Pacifica | The Pacifica Shamrocks and Riverside Red Bulls provided some drama at Red Bull Stadium.
The inspired effort of Pacifica right fielder Lorenzo Romero was not enough to prevent a 7-6 loss to the Riverside Red Bulls. Romero went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Riverside reliever Mike True was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Yoichibei Omura.
The Red Bulls got a big at-bat from first baseman Rich Montague. For the game, Montague was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Riverside a 6-4 lead.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Riverside manager Roger Reynolds.
At 14-8, the Red Bulls have played well so far.
