| Wolverines Fall to .500 After Loss to Black Bears | The Fraser Valley Black Bears defeated the Wichita Wolverines, 3-0, in Roy Halladay League action at Howling Park, with Fraser Valley pitcher Derrek Bathauer named player of the game. Wei-sng Mak saved it for Fraser Valley. The Wolverines drop to 10-10 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
The result might have been different for Fraser Valley, had it not been for Dallas Lingo. The shortstop produced a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Black Bears ahead, 3-0. For the game, Lingo had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Enjoyed this one," Lingo told the Fraser Valley Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
