| Black Bears Roll to 9-2 Win Over Wolverines | The Fraser Valley Black Bears and starting pitcher Tommy Forbush stifled the Wichita offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Howling Park. The win gives the Black Bears a record of 11-9.
The Black Bears got a big at-bat from center fielder Clifton Leclair. For the game, Leclair went 1 for 4 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Fraser Valley a 1-0 lead.
Forbush expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
