The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats topped the Riverside Red Bulls, 11-6, with first baseman Kanne te Wierik playing a big role. te Wierik went 3-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for the Beetlecats in the win. Losses have been few and far between for the Red Bulls so far this season. Their record drops to 13-6.

te Wierik came through with some timely hitting for Buzzard's Bay. With the score 5-5 in the bottom of the fourth and one down, te Wierik hit a 0-2 changeup for a 2-run single. His 19th hit of the season made it 7-5, Buzzard's Bay.
