| Storm Troopers Bang Out 8-6 Win Versus Spokane | Chase Hoene made an impact in the 8-6 San Antonio win over Spokane. Hoene went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The win was Chris Tattrie's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Miguel Barahona took the loss for Spokane. Ryan Davis picked up the save, his 6th.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with San Antonio trailing 6-5, Vaughan Bradley was at the plate when San Antonio scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Storm Troopers to go in front, 7-6.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Hoene said.
Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Storm Troopers hope to make a postseason run.
