| Snaps Stun Ducks, 3-2 | Cincinnati beat Long Island on the strength of starter Mike Jones's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Cincinnati reliever Manny Maldonado picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jim Reusch was saddled with the loss. The Ducks fall to 6-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2038.
Greg Bova was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks for Cincinnati. The 26-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jim Reusch. It was his 7th walk of the season.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Cincinnati manager Rob Penn.
