| Bulldogs Win in Extras | The San Antonio Storm Troopers got a sterling performance from second baseman Esteban Martinez, but the Bulldogs still prevailed, 8-5. Martinez was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. Spokane reliever Pierson McClelland was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ryan Davis took the loss. Ramon Romandia picked up the save, his 3rd.
Jimi van der Pol, who is tied for 8th in the RHL in bases on balls with 12, aided the Spokane cause with a 2-run single in the top of the tenth. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We maximized our offense today," said Spokane skipper Martín Torres. "That makes everyone's life easier."
The Storm Troopers fall to 8-8 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.
