| Cornhuskers Score Late to Upend Bulldogs, 9-7 | DeKalb right fielder Ramón Márquez was a significant contributor in his team's 9-7 triumph over the Spokane Bulldogs. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for DeKalb. Getting the save was Ray Burns, his 5th. The Bulldogs fall to 8-8 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.
Márquez had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 curveball from Ramon Romandia, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Cornhuskers a 9-7 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Márquez.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Eduardo Varerla.
