| Hawks Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start | The Boise Hawks racked up a win at Basque Block Field, bumping off the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 4-1. Timmo Brown, who started for Boise, pitched effectively for his team. Ray Toye recorded the save for Boise, his 4th of the season. The Hawks, with just their 5th win so far in 2038, have yet to catch fire.
Roger Alba aided the Boise cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Boise manager Tom Becker. "Our pregame was pretty good."
