| Rats Turn Back Ducks, 6-4 | The Rock River Rats picked up a win at Long Island Stadium, knocking off the Long Island Ducks, 6-4. Starting pitcher Pat Beckett, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Beckett got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Beckett allowed 1 earned run. Rock River, now 10-4, has played well in the early going.
Jake Cromar aided the Rock River cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.
