| Cornhuskers Lose, 5-1, at The Kennel | Miguel Barahona never let DeKalb get something going. The Spokane right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Bulldogs to a 5-1 win. Barahona picked up the win for Spokane, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The win lifts Spokane to a record of 7-7.
Bobby Bell aided the Spokane cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
