| Marauders Lose, 8-4, at Cowboys Stadium | The Carson City Mustang topped the Bradenton Marauders, 8-4, with youngster Felix Moran playing a key role. Moran was 2 for 4 with a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Mustang in the win. Tino Gonzalez got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Picking up the save was Werner Jackman, his 1st.
Moran had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch changeup from Tom Cluff, he banged a bases-clearing triple to right-center, giving the Mustang a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Moran.
"I like our moxie," said Mustang manager Todd Barrett.
The Mustang keep rolling, raising their record to 9-5.
