| Red Bulls Roll to 8-2 Win Over Hawks | The Boise Hawks got a sterling performance from pitcher Yoshiyuki Matsuda, but the Red Bulls still prevailed, 8-2. Matsuda was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Riverside goes to 7-4 with the win.
Had Steve Owensby not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Owensby hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Red Bulls.
