| Vesuvius Continue Hot Start to Season With Win | Cape Verde Vesuvius starter Javier Polanco was in fine form against the Bristol Robins at Ashton Gate, leading his team to a 12-2 win. The Vesuvius keep rolling, raising their record to 8-3.
Cape Verde used the bat of Juan Estevez to get the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Vesuvius ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"They took us to the woodshed," said Bristol manager Mason Eilers.
