| Snaps Score Late, Top Beehive, 5-2 | There was no shortage of dramatics at The Studio today.
The Cincinnati Snaps took Madison pitcher Mike Weschler's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Studio. The final score had Cincinnati getting past the Beehive, 5-2. Weschler went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 7. Cincinnati reliever Sean Bonin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Kris Richardson absorbed the loss.
Jamel Smith was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Snaps pinch hitter hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"It was a solid team effort," said Smith after the game.
Cincinnati, now 5-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.
