| 6-3 Win by Wolverines Continues Hot Start | The Wichita Wolverines topped the Carson City Mustang, 6-3, in Roy Halladay League action at Cowboys Stadium. The player of the game was Wichita third baseman Norberto Ramírez. The Wolverines, now 5-2, have been on a roll in the early going.
Ramírez had a game-changing single in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch slider from Nick Davidson, he banged a 2-run single to center, giving the Wolverines a 3-1 lead. It was the 1st hit of the year for Ramírez.
"It was a solid team effort," said Ramírez after the game.
