| Hellcats Win at Youngstown, 7-2 | The Jacksonville Hellcats racked up a win at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, bumping off the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 7-2. Mike Marquez, who started for Jacksonville, pitched effectively for his team. In 6.1 innings, Marquez surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Mario Cruz earned the save, his 2nd.
The Hellcats got a big at-bat from second baseman Ken Mamou. For the game, Mamou went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season gave Jacksonville a 3-0 lead.
