| Mustang Throttle Storm Troopers, 6-1 | The Carson City Mustang defeated the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 6-1, at Cowboys Stadium. Carson City first baseman Ivan Lopez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI. The Mustang, now 4-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
Emory Drewry had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth for Carson City. With the bases loaded and the Mustang leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Lopez.
