| Vesuvius Win Thriller, 4-3 | The Biloxi Bullets got a superb performance from pitcher José Toro, but the Cape Verde Vesuvius still won the game, 4-3. Toro was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of shutout ball. Cape Verde reliever Danny Jensen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Eddie Lara was saddled with the loss. The Vesuvius, now 4-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
Danny Frampton was the walk-off hero for Cape Verde. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vesuvius pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Biloxi manager Jorge Matos, "let me know."
