| Extra-Inning Win by Snaps over Marauders | The Cincinnati Snaps racked up a win at The Field at Bradenton, bumping off the Bradenton Marauders, 7-5. Mike Jones, who started for Cincinnati, pitched effectively for his team. Sean Bonin got the save, the 1st for him this season. Cincinnati, now 1-3, is off to a slow start.
Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Alex Velez to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Snaps on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Velez told the Cincinnati Daily.
