| Shamrocks Top Monarchs in 12 | Mitts Fieldhouse was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Pacifica Shamrocks and the Marysville Monarchs.
The Pacifica Shamrocks faced a tough opponent in Marysville pitcher Luis Salcido, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mitts Fieldhouse by a final score of 7-6. Salcido went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Shamrocks, now 1-2, have not found much traction so far in 2038.
Troy McKimm aided the Pacifica cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the 12th. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Exciting game to play in," said McKimm. "Getting the win makes it even better."
