| Hellcats Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start | A nice crowd turned out to see the Jacksonville Hellcats and Youngstown Tune-Ups clash at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum.
Jacksonville pitcher Scott Bernard did his part in helping his team beat the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 7-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bernard went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 0. His record improves to 1-0.
Andy Hegarty hit a 2-run double off Dan Halcomb in the top of the first, which put the Hellcats in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Hegarty had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Bernard said after the game.
Jacksonville is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 3 games.
